We have been your local Waban Library Center for 12 years! During this time, the library has become a vibrant place for community engagement, imagination, learning, and enjoyment for all. We rely solely on volunteer work and community donations, and invite the public to visit and work with us as we look forward to another decade of service.

Responding to the economy's downturn, in 2008 the City of Newton had to close all branch libraries. Many Waban residents chose to keep the beautiful Waban branch open. Thus the Waban Library Center was ignited by dedicated lovers of reading and community. That remains the same to this day, and will do so through tomorrow!
